What makes a GM Product GM?  Is it the Body? Is it the Drivetrain? What is it?

This is a hard question, that I think has multiple answers.

In the past, a GM vehicle was simply the best of the best.
Unfortunately now, it has to help "return GM to it's former glory".

Personally, when I look at a GM vehicle, the first thing I think of is it's powertrain. Be it a Cobalt, or a Corvette. From there, I recognize the style of GM vehicles, bold and refreshing compared to thier japanese counterparts which (in my opinion are bland and stagnant).
Long live Camaro!

This question could be answered in so many ways. But to me the most important part would be the powertrain because without that nothing else is going to matter. Although we must not forget styling, because this is also what is going to attract the average car buyer to the showroom.

I've always loved the fact that GM has offered a wide array of styles to choose from and the fact that their flagship brand Cadillac has always been and still is unique and stands out from the rest of the nameplates. This what makes sets them apart from other brands such as Lexus and Acura which to me are just upscale versions of their cheaper cars.

Beyond this we must not forget the men and woman that build these cars and the management that assists them because it's these people that make GM and make their cars and trucks the best in the world and who I'm sure will be able to bring GM to where they want to go.

I still see their products as being the BEST of the BEST and have all the faith in the world that employees from all levels of the company will succeed at that tough task in front of them.
